We are Anne-Marie Brown, violin and Lawrence Figg, cello, both long serving members of the Kansas City Symphony. If you haven't seen us performing every week in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, perhaps you've heard us playing with other groups around town like the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra, Summerfest Concerts, Heartland Chamber Music Festival, William Baker Festival Singers or the Starlight Theater Orchestra, just to name a few. We have performed as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestra members throughout the country and the world and now we have formed The Summit Duo so that we can share our artistry, style and virtuosity with you for your special event. We love playing together and will bring our passion, brilliance, finesse and commitment to every performance and event.

We think this pairing of instruments is a magical combination that provides an economical way to bring beautiful music to any occasion without sacrificing excitement, expressive power, or vibrant, rich, full sonorities. Being extremely versatile, we can easily join forces with other instruments such as piano, harp, flute, or trumpet; or expand to a string trio or string quartet with some of our very talented Symphony colleagues if a larger ensemble would be the right touch for your event.
